minka server outgoing web traffic problems (Resolved)

Affecting Server - minka_ourserver_US | Priority - Critical


Our minka server has had problems with outgoing traffic on port 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) which means that email is up and websites are down at the moment.

We've been working on it throughout the day and all going well hope to be able to re-enable outgoing traffic in the next few hours.

cPanel and Webmail outage (Resolved)

Affecting Server - hooch_ourserver_AU | Priority - High


Currently experiencing issues with client access to the cPanel and Webmail online portals on our Minka (minka.ourserver.net.au) and Hooch (hooch.ourserver.net.au) servers.

The issue is being investigated and we'll post an update here when the issue is resolved.

Sydney datacentre network issues (Resolved)

Affecting Server - laika_ourserver_AU | Priority - Critical


Update 10:59am: servers are available again; though we expect ongoing minor issues for the next 20 minutes or so as the network settles.

Our Sydney datacentre has reported network issues and are at work fixing them.

A rough estimate is that we expect service to be restored in about 30 minutes, though this is just an educated guess.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

We'll update here as soon as more is known.

17:00 The datacentre is undergoing some maintenance affecting only this specific server; we anticipate it to be finished and the server to return to normal operations by early evening tonight.

k9 server network connection problems (Resolved)

Affecting Server - k9_ourserver_US | Priority - Critical


Update Monday 7pm: the server has been stable most of the day.  We're progressively moving people onto a newer server as we think this is the best way of lowering risk of another outage.
Once you are moved, you may need to reset your modem then computer (power cycle or reboot) to pick up the new address - if you see password errors, you will need to do this to switch over to the new copy of your site on the new server.

Monday 10am: During the morning one of our servers (k9.ourserver.net.au) has been experiencing network problems and we've been investigating the issue since it occured.

The server is stable at the moment, but to prevent any further issues for our clients we are moving websites off of the server and onto one of our newer servers.

The server was planned to be replaced in the near future, so the timeline for that move has just been moved forward due to this recent issue.

We believe this is the best way to prevent any further issues for our clients moving forward.

1300 phone number switchover (Resolved)

11:30am: Server is up and working as of 11:30am.  We're investigating the details of the cause and running some backups off-server.

Our k9 server, located in the US, has become non-responsive.

We've asked the datacentre in the US to investigate and will update you as soon as we have new information.

We expect the server to be down for most of Saturday morning.

(resolved) lassie and newlaika down late hour (Resolved)

Two of our Australian servers are down (lassie and newlaika) from 11:20pm tonight.

We expect them to be back in service within the next hour and the datacentre is currently working on the issue which is a networking problem at the datacentre itself.  This problem is out of our direct control but we are monitoring the situation.
